New garden bed was started in December 1999. Soil was turned to a depth of 18 inches, and 1/4 ton of compost was added and reworked by hand everyday for two weeks. In the back ground are Washingtonia ssp. (Cotton Palms) and Phoenix dactyfilera (Date Palm). January 1, 2000
