Fall in the garden: While our northern neighbor's gardens, all prepare for winters sleep, our South Texas garden, is still growing strong. Some plants like the Cordyline pictured above, flower, palm infructescence start to ripen (seed to be harvested) and the banana and papaya become afternoon treats and snacks. I believe that fall is one of the best seasons of the year, for enjoying all the rewards that your garden has to offer. Plus those cooler day time temperatures sure helps.
